Chuck, a loner who had better days, runs a Halliday store in the middle of Californian desert. But at a time his routine is broken when two living creatures get into his life. One is a - chicken which takes to him and that he will call "Athena". The other one is a charming hiker by the name of Patricia who chooses to stop at his place for some time. Both will help him to get his feet back on the ground.
